New Ownership Takes Control of Beitar Eilat with Major Budget Boost

Beitar Eilat, a football club competing in Liga Bet, is entering a new phase under fresh ownership. After complex negotiations with the club's association, Natali and Dudu Vatouri have gained control of the team. They plan to provide the largest budget ever seen in the league, signaling significant investment in the club's future.

This transition follows key moves already made, including appointing Kobi Refu as the professional manager and signing players Gidi Keniuk, Ofek Fishler, and Ben Yehezkel. Additional major acquisitions and developments are expected soon. The deal was brokered by lawyer Amir Cohen, who successfully reconciled the parties despite initial differences.

Cohen stated to Sport 5 that after considerable effort and overcoming substantial gaps between sides, an agreement was reached and will be ratified at the upcoming general assembly on Thursday. He emphasized that the new leadership under the Vatouris aims to elevate Beitar Eilat to a high standing in Israeli football and bring professionalism to the club. He also thanked the outgoing management and wished success to the new team. The Vatouris view this as a flagship project and are committed to making it beneficial for the city of Eilat and its residents.
