Satellite Images Reveal Iran's Rapid Repair of Nuclear and Missile Sites After Strikes

Weeks after Israeli and American strikes on Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, new satellite images reveal intensive repair efforts at several damaged sites across Iran. According to CNN, Tehran has begun restoration work at key impact zones, potentially violating a memorandum of understanding with the United States that mandates maintaining the nuclear status quo.

One prominent site undergoing repairs is the military complex at Parchin, also known as "Talaghan 2," where explosives linked to nuclear weapons are believed to be stored. Over the years, Parchin has been a focal point for nuclear weapons-related experiments and activities. Analysis conducted jointly with the Institute for Science and International Security, based on satellite images from June 22 and the most recent Tuesday, shows clear signs of reconstruction at multiple strike locations.

The images document efforts to seal the craters created during Operation "Roaring Lion," where bunker-busting bombs caused three large craters at Parchin. For weeks, satellite imagery from the area was withheld due to requests from the U.S. government, but after restrictions were eased, the new photos were released, confirming ongoing repair work at the facilities.

This rapid rehabilitation may complicate diplomatic efforts and raise concerns about Iran's compliance with nuclear agreements, as the restoration of these sites could facilitate the continuation or advancement of nuclear weapons development.
