Israeli-American Yale Student Arrested in New York for Alleged Sexual Assault on Subway

Ari Stein, an 18-year-old Israeli-American student at Yale University, was arrested in New York on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 30-year-old woman on the subway in front of her four children. Stein, who grew up in Rehovot, Israel, recently wrote an opinion piece in his campus newspaper arguing that mandatory sexual harassment prevention training is unnecessary. According to the allegations, after the incident, Stein told the woman, "My mistake, I didn't know you would react this way." His attorney, Freya Chaudhry, denied the accusations against him.
