IDF Kills Hamas Production Chief and Senior Nuzirat Battalion Commander in Gaza Strikes
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted targeted airstrikes in northern Gaza earlier this week, killing Khalil Jamal Khalil Mena, a key commander in Hamas's military production headquarters. Mena oversaw workshops producing rocket launchers and led their final assembly stages. He also played a central role in the command center's operations and participated in efforts to rebuild the production facilities during ceasefires.
In a separate strike on Thursday, the IDF eliminated Osama Walid Dib Mharab, a company commander in Hamas's Nuzirat Battalion. Mharab recently possessed explosives intended for attacks against Israeli forces operating in Gaza. Both militants posed significant threats to IDF troops and were targeted from the air to neutralize these dangers.
Throughout the week, the IDF has killed over ten militants, including Hamas commanders, operatives involved in restoring Hamas infrastructure, and militants who infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle Hamas’s military capabilities amid the current conflict.
