Singer Raviv Plotnik Performs with Soldier Who Lost Both Legs in Gaza Fighting

A year after being severely wounded in combat in the Gaza Strip and losing both his legs, Israeli soldier Elkana Levy marked the anniversary with a special event at Avichai Farm. Renowned singer and songwriter Raviv Plotnik attended the gathering to honor Levy and performed alongside him and his Golani Brigade comrades from Company 8, Battalion 13. Together, they sang the song "Peace in Your Beliefs," creating a moving tribute.

Levy was critically injured during the "Sword of Iron" operation in Gaza, suffering the loss of both legs and an eye injury from shrapnel. Despite the long and challenging rehabilitation process, his parents, Rabbi Moshe and Orit Levy, shared that his first concern upon regaining speech was the welfare of his unit, emphasizing his dedication to the ongoing fight. They revealed that Elkana had anticipated the possibility of injury but insisted on participating in the battle to eliminate terrorists, even leaving small gifts and a letter for his family before deployment.

The event highlighted the resilience and spirit of wounded soldiers and the support they receive from the community and cultural figures like Plotnik. The performance symbolized solidarity and hope amid the ongoing conflict in the Gaza region.
