Aharon Razel and Avia Sherman Release New Song Honoring IDF Soldiers and Security Forces

Israeli musicians Aharon Razel and Avia Sherman have collaborated on a new single titled "From Now and Forever," a musical prayer dedicated to IDF soldiers and security forces. The song, accompanied by a music video filmed on an Israel Railways train, aims to unite different sectors of Israeli society with a message of faith and security. Razel, a pioneer in contemporary Jewish music, explained that the chorus was written years ago but only recently completed with Sherman's help and producer Avi Tal, resulting in an optimistic and unifying song.

The partnership between Razel and Sherman began under unusual circumstances about two years ago when an alarm in Ofakim forced the cancellation of their scheduled joint performance. Despite this, their personal and musical connection grew stronger, culminating in this new collaboration. Sherman, a musician and IDF Givati Brigade reservist who has served hundreds of reserve days since October 7 and is currently establishing a preparatory program in Kiryat Malachi, expressed honor at working with Razel and hopes the song's message strengthens Israeli society.

Razel describes "From Now and Forever" as a song of joy, faith, and trust in God, suitable for anyone embarking on a journey, mission, or battle, emphasizing that God accompanies every step. This single is the third release from Razel's upcoming 15th studio album, expected around the Jewish High Holidays, following previous collaborations with Rabbi Shlomo Katz and Adi Ran. Sherman is also preparing to release his debut album this year, funded through the crowdfunding platform Headstart, showcasing his ability to balance active reserve service with meaningful musical creation.

The video’s setting on a train symbolizes the creators’ desire to connect all parts of the nation, reinforcing the clear message that whether heading to a mission, battle, or daily journey, God is with you every step of the way.
