“I never dreamed we’d get to come back”: Eyal Butner returns to perform in Kibbutz Nir Oz. The musician Eyal Butner met the kibbutz residents, who suffered heavy losses on Black Saturday, just 10 days after October 7, at a performance held in Mishmar HaEmek, where the kibbutz members had been evacuated. His song, “Bo’i Na’ezov” (“Let’s Leave”), accompanied them ever since, and now, two and a half years later, he returned to close the circle: “After the massacre, you are in the dark, you do not know who you will meet.”
