Israeli Cyber Authority Warns of Bamba Prize Phishing Scam Stealing Personal Data
The Israeli National Cyber Directorate has issued a warning about a phishing scam impersonating a Bamba snack promotion, falsely promising a 500 shekel voucher prize. The fraudulent message appears as an innocent-looking survey featuring the familiar Bamba brand image, answer buttons, and fake user comments claiming to be winners. However, the scam aims to steal personal information, credit card details, or account access.
The Cyber Directorate advises the public not to click on suspicious promotional links, avoid sharing personal data, verification codes, or credit card information, and to verify any offers through official company websites or verified social media pages. They also caution against promises of quick winnings, requests to share the message with others, or any pressure tactics to disclose sensitive information.
