Israeli Woman Fights Off Sexual Assault at Massage Parlor and Escapes

The Northern District Prosecutor's Office has filed serious charges against a 25-year-old man from northern Israel, accusing him of multiple severe sexual and violent offenses, including attempted rape, forcible indecent acts, assault, and causing significant bodily harm. The indictment, submitted to the Nazareth District Court and investigated by the Northern District Police, details an incident at a massage parlor where the accused repeatedly called to arrange a visit before arriving at the location.

At the time, the victim, a female massage therapist working alone, was present. After the man paid her 200 shekels and she asked him to undress and lie on the treatment table, she left the room briefly to place the money down. Upon her return, the man refused to comply with her instructions and approached her aggressively. When she told him she did not wish to provide treatment and intended to refund his money, he violently grabbed her hair, dragged her to the floor, and assaulted her physically and sexually for about twenty minutes, hitting and biting her. Throughout the attack, the woman resisted, pushed him away, and pleaded tearfully for him to stop, but he ignored her, cursed, and ordered her to "shut up."

The victim’s quick thinking ultimately ended the ordeal; she escaped during a brief moment when the assailant left the room, fleeing the massage parlor naked and distressed into the street, where she later called the police. From the outset, the victim has been supported and represented by attorney Gabi Lieberman from the Legal Aid Department of the Ministry of Justice. Lilach Wait, head of the Sexual Assault Victims Unit in Haifa’s Legal Aid, emphasized the importance of representation in this case, noting the victim’s courage and the vulnerability of women working in massage services who often do not report repeated abuse. Wait affirmed the commitment to ensuring every victim receives respectful and proper legal representation.
