Northern Israeli Man Charged with Violent Sexual Assault on Massage Therapist
A 25-year-old man from northern Israel has been charged with attempted rape, forcible indecent acts, and assault after violently attacking a massage therapist at a massage parlor. The incident occurred when the man refused to follow the therapist's instructions at the start of the session, grabbed her hair, and threw her to the floor. Over approximately 20 minutes, he physically and sexually assaulted her, hitting and biting various parts of her body despite her repeated pleas for him to stop.
The therapist managed to escape when the assailant briefly left the room, fleeing naked and distressed to call the police. The case was investigated by the Northern District of the Israel Police. Prosecutors filed the indictment Thursday at the Nazareth District Court. The victim is represented by attorney Gabi Lieberman from the Ministry of Justice's Legal Aid Department, which emphasized the importance of supporting victims from vulnerable populations.
Lilach Veit, the sexual assault victims coordinator for the Haifa Legal Aid District, praised the victim's courage and highlighted that many women working in massage do not report assaults, often foregoing justice. She stressed the commitment to ensuring all victims receive proper and respectful legal representation.
According to the indictment, the accused had called the massage parlor over ten times to arrange the visit before the assault. When the victim told him she would return his money and refused to treat him, he violently grabbed her and assaulted her despite her resistance and protests. The victim's escape and subsequent police involvement led to the charges against the man.
