25-Year-Old Man Charged with Violent Sexual Assault on Massage Therapist in Northern Israel
A 25-year-old man from northern Israel has been charged with attempted rape, forcible indecent acts, and assault after violently attacking a massage therapist at a massage parlor. The incident occurred when the man refused to follow the therapist's instructions at the start of the session, grabbed her hair, and threw her to the floor. Over approximately 20 minutes, he physically and sexually assaulted her, hitting and biting various parts of her body despite her repeated pleas for him to stop.
The therapist managed to escape when the assailant briefly left the room, fleeing the premises completely naked and immediately calling the police. The Northern District Police investigated the case, which led to the indictment filed on July 9 at the Nazareth District Court. According to the indictment, the man had called the massage parlor over ten times on the evening of the attack to schedule the appointment.
When the therapist asked him to undress and lie on the massage table, he refused and advanced toward her. After she told him she did not want to treat him and offered to refund his money, he grabbed her hair and assaulted her. Throughout the attack, he ignored her attempts to push him away, cursed at her, and told her to "shut up."
The victim is represented by attorney Gabi Lieberman from the Legal Aid Department of the Ministry of Justice. Lilach Veit, coordinator for sexual assault victims in the Haifa district legal aid office, emphasized the importance of proper representation for the victim, noting that women working in massage often do not report assaults. Veit praised the victim's courage and affirmed the commitment to ensuring respectful legal support for all victims seeking justice.
