Israeli Police Chief Orders Immediate Review After Officer Caught Driving While Using Phone and Filming Colleague Without Helmet

A video surfaced showing an Israeli policewoman driving while holding a phone and filming another female officer riding an electric bike without a helmet. The footage, which quickly went viral on social media, captured the officers boasting, with the driver saying, "Look, a policewoman without a helmet."

Following the video's circulation, Police Commissioner Major General Danni Levi was informed and described the behavior as potentially inappropriate. The police issued a statement emphasizing that Levi views the incident seriously and has instructed relevant authorities to take immediate disciplinary action, including considering suspending the involved officers from operational duties pending a full investigation.

Commissioner Levi stressed that the police force expects all its members to maintain professional, respectful, and ethical conduct at all times. He warned that any deviation from these standards would be dealt with firmly and without compromise. "We will not tolerate behavior inconsistent with police values," Levi said. He added that all suspected misconduct will be thoroughly examined, and appropriate measures will be taken, including disciplinary, administrative, and traffic-related actions.
