Legendary fitness trainer Gilad Jankelvich, host of
Gilad Jankelvich, the legendary fitness trainer whose program "Body in Motion" dominated television screens for decades, died today, Tuesday, at the age of 71.
Jankelvich was born in Israel and was a member of Kibbutz Galon. He emigrated to the United States shortly after his military service. In Hawaii, Jankelvich became a television star specializing in fitness training with the program "Body in Motion," which he produced and which aired in more than 80 countries around the world, including Israel. "Body in Motion" with Gilad Jankelvich. In 2007, Jankelvich was inducted in the United States into the National Fitness Hall of Fame.
