Hapoel Jerusalem Nears Record-Breaking Sale of John Otomao to French Club Reims
Hapoel Jerusalem is set to complete the biggest transfer in its history by agreeing to sell 19-year-old Nigerian defensive midfielder John Otomao to French club Reims. The deal, reported on July 8, 2026, will bring the Jerusalem-based club at least 1.6 million euros, surpassing their previous record sale of Cedric Don to Maccabi Haifa for 1.5 million euros. While the clubs have reached an agreement, final terms with Otomao are still pending, including visa approval and medical examinations. Otomao is expected to arrive in Israel tomorrow before traveling to France to finalize the move.
