Masked Man Smashes Haaretz Office Door in Tel Aviv Following Similar Attack on Channel 12

A masked individual smashed the entrance door of the Haaretz newspaper office in Tel Aviv overnight, just three days after a similar incident at Channel 12's studios in the city. Security footage from Haaretz captured the moment the assailant threw an object at the glass door before fleeing the scene.

The earlier attack on Channel 12 occurred on Sunday, when a masked man threw a stone at the studio's glass door and escaped. Police have launched investigations into both incidents, but it remains unclear if the attacks specifically targeted the news organizations, as other offices operate in the same buildings.

Channel 12 condemned the violence, describing it as "shocking and beyond all limits," and called on the Israeli government and Communications Minister to stop inciting rhetoric against the free press, which they say leads to such serious acts.

These attacks follow a series of vandalism incidents near Channel 12's studios in recent months. In early June, threatening graffiti was sprayed, including messages accusing media figures of betrayal and promising bloodshed. Similar graffiti appeared in May with hostile slogans against the judiciary and the media.
