US Strikes 80 Targets in Southern Iran After Hormuz Tanker Attacks
The US Central Command launched an overnight strike on approximately 80 targets in southern Iran in response to attacks on five tankers in the Strait of Hormuz within the past 24 hours. The operation targeted Iranian air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities, and over 60 fast boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Iranian sources reported that the strikes hit locations including the port of Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, and Sirik Island. This military response aims to degrade Iran's ability to threaten maritime navigation in the strategic Strait of Hormuz region.
