Haifa Court Sentences Elhayin Warko to 26 Years for 2021 Murder of Mousa Abakar
The Haifa District Court sentenced Elhayin Warko to 26 years in prison for the intentional murder of Mousa Ismail Abakar, 28, in September 2021. In addition to the prison term, Warko was ordered to pay 258,000 shekels in compensation to the victim's estate. According to the court ruling, the murder occurred following a violent confrontation between two groups. Warko and three others severely attacked Abakar, with Warko striking him on the head with a wooden plank and continuing to beat him after he fell to the ground. The others joined in by kicking and throwing stones at Abakar. The fatal injuries sustained during the assault led to his death.
