Illegal Resident Arrested in Beersheba for Deadly Hit-and-Run of Three Illegal Workers

A 24-year-old illegal resident from Hebron was arrested in Beersheba on Tuesday on suspicion of fatally running over another illegal resident and injuring two others earlier this week near the seam line area close to Shomriya. The incident involved three illegal workers who were struck by the suspect's vehicle. One victim was critically injured and later died at the scene, while the other two sustained moderate injuries and were hospitalized at Soroka Medical Center.

The police investigation began two days ago, and security forces tracked down the suspect and located the vehicle used in the incident hidden beneath a water carrier. The suspect is expected to be brought before a court to request an extension of his detention to continue the investigation. The police continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the deadly hit-and-run.
