22-Year-Old Dies After Police Vehicle Hits Him Following Car Accident on Highway 77
Ahmad Jamal, a 22-year-old resident of Bir al-Maksur, died early Tuesday morning after being struck by a police vehicle on Highway 77 near the Mivtal interchange. The incident occurred shortly after Jamal was involved in a traffic accident on the eastbound lane toward the Mivtal interchange. After exiting his vehicle, he attempted to distance himself from the scene by crossing a safety barrier and jumping into the opposite lane. At that moment, a police car passed by and hit him.
Emergency medical teams arrived shortly after midnight following a report of a pedestrian struck on Highway 77 near the Mivtal interchange. Paramedics found Jamal unconscious, without pulse or breathing, suffering from multiple severe injuries. Despite medical efforts, his death was pronounced at the scene.
