Bus Driver Dies in Mishap While Changing Tire in Central Israel
A tragic accident occurred Monday evening in the Hefer Valley region when a bus driver from Jerusalem was fatally injured after the bus collapsed on him, reportedly while he was changing a tire. The incident took place in the moshav Hefetz Haim. Emergency services received the report at 19:40 from the Magen David Adom (MDA) dispatch center in the Lachish area. Paramedics found the 46-year-old man in critical condition with severe upper body injuries and pronounced him dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
Traffic investigators from the Shephelah district and detectives from the Yavne station in the Central District arrived to examine the circumstances of the accident. An official report has been submitted to the Ministry of Labor as part of the ongoing investigation.
