Bnei Yehuda Fails to Meet the Requirement, So Who Will Play in the Premier League?

Bnei Yehuda won the ticket to the women’s basketball Premier League, but it is not expected to play there next season.

The Orange defeated A.S. Ramat HaSharon 0-2 in the National League playoff final series, but did not meet the minimum financial requirements set by the league management and the budgetary control body for the Premier League.

So who will be promoted in their place? The right to move up to the top division has passed to Ramat HaSharon, the National League runners-up. The club from the Sharon area is working to meet the conditions, with the matter dependent on the budget it can secure from the municipality.

In a letter sent by the Premier League management to National League teams in May, it said that one of the conditions for exercising the right to be promoted to the basketball Premier League is full compliance with a number of requirements, including, “the minimum budget required to participate in the Premier League shall stand at 2 million shekels.”

If Ramat HaSharon fails to secure the amount required by the budgetary control body, the ticket to the Premier League will pass to the team that was relegated from it this season, Hapoel Be'er Sheva Dimona, which finished last in its first-ever season in the top division.
