Man Indicted for Armed Robbery After Violating Restraining Order in Dimona
The State Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against 27-year-old Aviel Haim Burgerker from Dimona for robbing a store at knifepoint. According to the indictment, Burgerker initially entered an ice cream shop in Dimona and asked for a cigarette. After being refused, a physical altercation broke out with the shop owner. Burgerker threatened, "You made the mistake of your life, you will pay for it." The police arrested him and released him under a 10-day restraining order barring him from the store.
Shortly after, Burgerker violated the restraining order by returning to the shop wearing a helmet and wielding a knife. He threatened the saleswoman and stole approximately 8,000 shekels from the cash register. He is charged with robbery, threats, and violating a legal order.
