Driver Falls 10 Meters Off Cliff in Benjamin Quarry, Seriously Injured
A driver in his 30s fell approximately 10 meters off a cliff at the Netaf quarry in the Benjamin region early Monday morning, reportedly due to a self-inflicted accident while working at the site. Rescue teams arrived to find the vehicle overturned on its roof with the driver trapped and injured inside. Firefighters and rescue personnel used specialized equipment to safely extract the driver from the vehicle.
The injured man was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital, where his condition is currently classified as serious. United Hatzalah paramedics who responded to the scene provided initial medical assistance before the airlift. Ezra Emek, the fire and rescue incident commander, described the swift assessment and extraction process, emphasizing the careful removal of the vehicle doors to create space for the rescue.
