Driver Rescued After Vehicle Falls 15 Meters Into Wadi in Carmel Park
A driver in northern Israel was rescued in moderate condition after his vehicle plunged approximately 15 meters down a cliff into a wadi near Kibbutz Beit Oren in Carmel Park. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, prompting emergency response teams from Haifa, Hadera, and a special rescue unit from Kiryat stations to be dispatched following an unusual report to the fire and rescue emergency center (102).
Eyewitnesses informed responders about the vehicle's fall into the deep wadi. Upon arrival, firefighters and Israeli police conducted a search and located the car. The special rescue unit used a crane and complex rope systems to extract the driver safely from the ravine. Remarkably, the driver survived the fall and was evacuated with injuries classified as moderate.
The fire and rescue service shared footage of the challenging rescue operation, highlighting the coordinated effort that ensured the driver’s survival despite the severity of the accident.
