Yam Madar Passes Medical Tests Ahead of Official Maccabi Tel Aviv Signing
Yam Madar is set to officially join Maccabi Tel Aviv after completing comprehensive medical examinations on Sunday. Following the tests, Madar will travel to Croatia to join the Israeli national basketball team, arriving at the camp late at night. Although he will not participate in the final practice before the upcoming game, he will be included in the game roster and will take part in shooting practice the next day.
Madar's arrival in Israel on Saturday was partly to finalize negotiations with Maccabi Tel Aviv and to fulfill the mutual requirement of completing medical tests before the team's second game. The deal was nearly closed by early Saturday morning.
Madar has agreed to a three-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, including an option for two additional years, with a base salary of $2 million per season. He will also receive bonuses and incentives, which helped him decide to forgo a higher salary offer from Hapoel Tel Aviv to remain with Maccabi Tel Aviv. The club plans to officially present Madar in the coming days.
