25 hesder yeshivot refuse to send students to the Armored Corps over the integration of women
An additional 13 hesder yeshivot have announced that they will refuse to send students to the Armored Corps because of the integration of women into the corps, bringing the total number to 25 yeshivot.
Among the rabbis and yeshiva heads who signed the refusal letter are Rabbi Michael Aharonov of Maale Ephraim, Rabbi David Amitai of Avinעם, Rabbi Shlomo Binyamin of Lev Da'at, Rabbi Eran Tamir of Orot Ashkelon, Rabbi Elisha Yinon of Afula, Rabbi Eyal Yacobovitz of Safed, Rabbi Eliyahu Mali of Jaffa, Rabbi Avihu Fishpeder of Ashkelon, Rabbi Shlomo Shoshan of Beit She'an, Rabbi Yehoshua Schmidt of Nahalat Yosef, and Rabbi David Turgeman of Dimona, as well as two additional yeshiva heads who asked that their names not be published.
