Glass Doors at Channel 12 News Building Vandalized in Tel Aviv, Police Investigate
The glass doors at the entrance to Channel 12's news building in Tel Aviv were smashed overnight between Saturday and Sunday. Security cameras captured a masked suspect throwing a brick at the doors before fleeing the scene. Police were called to the location and have launched an investigation into the incident.
This act of vandalism follows a series of recent hate incidents targeting Channel 12 journalists. In the past months, several threatening and hateful graffiti messages have been sprayed near the news studios. For example, in early June, a message threatening journalists including Noam Cohen was found, stating, "To the traitors, greetings, 11, 12, 13. Peleg, Drucker, Abramovich, criminals. You will pay with your loved ones' blood."
Additional graffiti appeared in May with slogans such as "The judicial authority for judgment or slaughter," "Sorry by force 100 in the name of Keshet 12 traitors," "The Supreme Court is the enemy of the Jewish people," and "Witch wave." These hostile messages have heightened concerns about the safety of Channel 12 staff and the environment around the news studios in Tel Aviv. The police continue to investigate the recent brick-throwing attack as part of their efforts to address this wave of intimidation.
