Man Attempts to Kidnap 11-Year-Old Girl in Petah Tikva, Arrested After Attack on Medical Staff

An 11-year-old girl narrowly escaped an attempted kidnapping in Petah Tikva on Wednesday. The suspect, a man in his 40s, reportedly grabbed the girl while she was on her way to a class near the city's stadium, lifting her and trying to take her phone. The girl screamed for help while speaking to her father on the phone, attracting the attention of passing drivers who alerted the police.

Police from the Petah Tikva station arrived quickly, subdued the suspect, and arrested him. The girl was returned safely to her parents, visibly shaken. The suspect was taken for medical evaluation, during which he allegedly became violent and attacked a female medical staff member, leading to a second arrest.
