Man Attempts to Kidnap Girl at Pedestrian Crossing in Petah Tikva, Arrested Twice

On Wednesday, police in Petah Tikva arrested a man caught on camera attempting to kidnap a young girl at a pedestrian crossing. The footage shows the suspect grabbing the girl from behind, lifting her, and trying to flee the scene. Bystanders quickly alerted the police, who arrived promptly, subdued the suspect, and ensured the child was unharmed.

Following his arrest, the suspect was sent for psychiatric evaluation. During his stay, he assaulted medical staff, leading to a second arrest. He remains in custody at a hospital. The Israel Police stated that officers from the Petah Tikva station responded swiftly to the incident, controlled the situation, and apprehended the suspect. They emphasized their ongoing commitment to public safety and rapid response to such threats.
