Hungarian Club Ujpest Seeks Maccabi Tel Aviv Defender Heitor on Loan
Heitor, the 26-year-old Brazilian defender currently with Maccabi Tel Aviv, is reportedly close to leaving the Israeli club. After struggling to integrate into the team and missing the recent training camp, Maccabi Tel Aviv is no longer counting on him and is searching for a foreign defender to replace him. Hungarian club Ujpest, where Heitor previously played before joining Maccabi, is interested in acquiring him on a loan deal. According to reports from Hungary on July 1, Ujpest is accelerating negotiations to bring Heitor back to the Hungarian league as part of a loan agreement with Maccabi Tel Aviv. Heitor has made 35 appearances and scored one goal for Maccabi since joining the club.
