Israeli Forward Lior Carrera Signs Two-Year Deal with Maccabi Ramat Gan

Maccabi Ramat Gan officially announced the signing of Israeli forward Lior Carrera to a two-year contract. Carrera, 28, who stands 1.96 meters tall, joins the team coached by Elad Hassin after leaving Hapoel Holon. The agreement was finalized before Carrera departed with the Israeli national team to Latvia for the World Cup qualifiers.

Carrera brings six years of experience in the Israeli Premier League, having previously played two seasons with Hapoel Galil Elyon and three seasons with Ironi Nes Ziona. Last season at Holon, he averaged 22 minutes and 7.2 points per game during the regular season, with a standout performance scoring 17 points against Elitzur Netanya. In the playoffs, he averaged 19.6 minutes and 4.4 points over five games.

At Maccabi Ramat Gan, Carrera will reunite with Gil Bnei, a former teammate from Maccabi Ra'anana's youth team. Coach Elad Hassin praised Carrera as a leader and a figure who fits the club's culture, highlighting his calm demeanor and leadership qualities. Hassin expressed enthusiasm about working with Carrera again, recalling their previous collaboration at Nes Ziona.

The signing comes shortly after Maccabi Ramat Gan parted ways with Adam Ariel earlier the same day, signaling a reshaping of the team's roster ahead of the upcoming season.
