Former Israeli Hostage Rom Breslavski Celebrates Killing of Islamic Jihad Commander in Khan Yunis
Rom Breslavski, an Israeli who survived a year-long captivity by Palestinian Islamic Jihad militants, publicly celebrated the killing of terrorist Talal Abd Al-Al, also known as Abu Youssef, by the Israeli military in Khan Yunis. Breslavski shared a message condemning Abd Al-Al, describing him as the brutal commander who led the cell that held him captive and personally tortured him during his imprisonment in the tunnels. He recounted how Abd Al-Al, weighing around 100 kilograms, physically assaulted him while he was severely malnourished and bound, even forcing him to open his mouth to spit inside it.
The Israeli military confirmed the killing of the militant on October 7, who had been responsible for capturing and holding hostages, including Breslavski. Breslavski emphasized that Abd Al-Al had ordered and directly participated in his torture, nearly causing his death multiple times. In his post, Breslavski mocked the deceased militant, recalling a threat Abd Al-Al made to the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet) about defying them with a "third finger" gesture, stating that the message had now been delivered. Breslavski concluded with a harsh insult, telling the militant to "enjoy hell."
