President Herzog Condemns Rabbi's Curse Against IDF Chief of Staff
Israeli President Isaac Herzog strongly condemned remarks made by Rabbi Aryeh Yazdi, who cursed the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) by saying, "The accursed Chief of Staff, may his name and memory be erased." Herzog emphasized that even during deep disagreements, there is no place for curses, insults, or degrading language, especially towards the supreme commander of the IDF and its soldiers, who are the nation's sons and daughters. He called on public leaders to maintain responsible and respectful discourse. Rabbi Yazdi made the statement during an anti-conscription rally attended by members of the Shas party in the Knesset. Herzog concluded by condemning these remarks in the strongest terms and urged everyone to act with respect and responsibility.
