Actress Debbie Chase Dies at 35 from AIDS Complications, Official Report Reveals

Debbie Chase, known for her roles in the horror film "The Ring" and as the voice of Lilo in "Lilo & Stitch," passed away on June 16 at the age of 35. Approximately two weeks after her death, the Los Angeles County coroner's office released an official autopsy report stating that Chase died from complications related to AIDS, with drug use also noted as a contributing factor. Her death was classified as natural.

Chase's partner, Roy Hernandez, initially announced her death citing complications from meningitis and sepsis leading to organ failure. In recent years, Chase reportedly faced significant financial difficulties and experienced a period of homelessness while battling her health and personal challenges.

Chase began her acting career at age seven, appearing in TV series such as "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Charmed," and "ER." She gained major recognition in the early 2000s with her voice role in "Lilo & Stitch" and her portrayal of Samara Morgan in "The Ring." She also appeared in "Donnie Darko" and the series "Big Love," but had largely stepped away from acting in recent years.

Following her death, controversy arose over a crowdfunding campaign started by her partner, which was questioned by her former manager. Hernandez strongly denied allegations questioning the campaign's legitimacy.
