Debi Chase, the child actor who voiced Lilo in Disney's animated hit "Lilo & Stitch," has died at age 35. Her partner, Roy Hernandez, confirmed the death to TMZ and said she died from complications of meningitis after suffering from bloodstream infections.
Hernandez had launched a crowdfunding campaign only days earlier to help with her recovery. Chase became internationally known at age 8 for voicing Lilo Pelekai in the original film, and later returned to the role in the TV series based on the movie and in "Stitch: The Movie" and "Leroy & Stitch."
She also voiced the lead role in the American dub of the Japanese film "The Cat Returns." As an actor, Chase later portrayed the villain Samara Morgan in two "The Ring" films, played Samara's sister in the cult film "Donnie Darko," and appeared as Rhonda Volmer in HBO's "Big Love." She also had small guest roles in series including "Charmed" and "E.R."
Chase had not appeared in film or television since 2016.
