Actress Debi Chase Dies at 35 from AIDS Complications, Official Report Reveals

Two weeks after the death of actress Debi Chase, known for her roles in "The Ring" and as the voice of Lilo in "Lilo & Stitch," the Los Angeles County coroner's office released the official cause of death. According to the report, Chase died on June 16 at age 35 due to complications from AIDS, with drug use also noted as a contributing factor. Her death was classified as natural.

Chase's partner, Roy Hernandez, initially announced her passing, attributing it to complications from meningitis following sepsis that caused organ failure. In recent years, Chase reportedly faced significant financial difficulties and experienced a period of homelessness while managing her health and personal challenges.

Chase began her acting career at age seven, appearing in series such as "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Charmed," and "ER." She gained major recognition in the early 2000s by voicing Lilo in the animated film "Lilo & Stitch" and starring as Samara Morgan in the horror film "The Ring." She also appeared in "Donnie Darko" and the TV series "Big Love," but had stepped away from acting in recent years.

Following her death, controversy arose around a crowdfunding campaign started by her partner, which was questioned by her former manager. Hernandez strongly denied these allegations.
