Firefighters Combat Large Brush Fire Near Bu'eine-Nujeidat in Northern Israel
A significant brush fire broke out in a forest near the village of Bu'eine-Nujeidat, close to Highway 65 in northern Israel's Lower Galilee region. Fire and rescue forces from the Northern District, including 10 teams from the Tiberias station supported by additional units, are actively battling the blaze. Five firefighting aircraft are also involved in the operation.
The firefighting efforts include cooperation from the Jewish National Fund (KKL), the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and the Nature and Parks Authority. The teams successfully eliminated the threat posed to a nearby factory, preventing further damage. Firefighters continue working at the scene to gain full control over the fire.
Deputy Commander of the Tiberias station, Deputy Chief Inspector Oshri Mamo, stated, "Thanks to the determined efforts of the teams and aerial support, we stopped the fire from spreading and removed the danger to the nearby factory. We continue our operations until full control is achieved."
