Firefighters Battle Multiple Wildfires in Northern Israel with Air Support
On Wednesday afternoon, the Northern District Fire and Rescue Services reported extensive firefighting operations across several locations in northern Israel. By 4:00 PM, large firefighting teams, supported by firefighting aircraft, the Nature and Parks Authority, and the Jewish National Fund, were working to contain fires spreading in open areas and woodlands.
Near the village of Arbel and the adjacent nature reserve, firefighting crews from the Tiberias station, alongside Nature and Parks Authority inspectors, were actively combating the blaze with the assistance of 10 firefighting planes. Concurrently, a forest fire near Ilut involved eight firefighting teams and Jewish National Fund crews, supported by six firefighting aircraft, striving to halt the fire's advance amid challenging weather conditions.
Another fire scene was reported near Yafia, close to Nazareth, where 10 firefighting teams were engaged in efforts to control and extinguish the flames. The coordinated response highlights the scale and severity of the wildfires affecting northern Israel on this day.
