In the United States, people are still reeling from one of the greatest games ever in NBA Finals history, after the New York Knicks came back from a 29-point deficit for a dramatic 107-106 win over San Antonio.
Alongside the praise for the winner, naturally there was also criticism for the loser, which simply collapsed in the fourth quarter. ESPN commentator Charles Barkley showed no mercy: "We saw the dumbest basketball team in the history of civilization. Wow. They had a 25-point lead, and they just took eight straight three-pointers. Listen, that was the worst-managed and most foolish basketball there is. Hey, when you blow a 25-point lead, the other team has to get help from you. The Spurs simply helped the Knicks win this game by making some of the stupidest plays I have ever seen on a basketball court."
