Senior Israeli Police Officer Alona Shoshan Files Harassment Complaint Against Spokesperson Amid Corruption Probe

Alona Shoshan, the head of Human Resources at the Israeli Police, is the senior officer who filed a sexual harassment complaint against Deputy Commissioner Lior Abudraham, the police spokesperson. Abudraham is currently under investigation by the Competition Authority related to these allegations. This inquiry is part of a broader police investigation into associates of Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, being handled by the Police Investigations Department. Within this larger case, an indictment is being considered against Prison Service Commissioner Kobi Yakobi, pending a hearing. Before the final decision on the indictment, Yakobi claimed that the key witness against him, Deputy Commissioner Abudraham, had a romantic relationship with an investigator from the Police Investigations Department. Yakobi argued that such a relationship, if it existed, compromised the integrity of the investigation and questioned why Abudraham was not interrogated under caution, raising serious doubts about the process.
