Four Killed in Arab Communities Within 12 Hours Amid Blood Feud Violence
Within a span of 12 hours, four people were killed in separate violent incidents in Arab communities in Israel. On Sunday morning, two men, Adnan Ganem and Galeb Abu-Ras, were shot dead while in a car in Kalansawa, a city in the Sharon region. Police indicated the killings are likely linked to a family blood feud, a conflict that has claimed nine lives so far, six of them in the past six months. Investigations are ongoing, with officers from the Sharon district and Tayibe station collecting evidence and searching for suspects.
Earlier, at around 7:30 a.m., Iyad Rab, a 38-year-old resident of Jaffa, was killed in a car explosion on Saharon Street. His six-year-old son, who was in the vehicle, was hospitalized in moderate but stable condition. Authorities are examining whether this attack was revenge related to the killing of a teenager in Jaffa on Thursday.
Additionally, late Saturday night, 19-year-old Bakr Nuseirat was shot dead at the entrance to his home in Tayibe after returning from a family wedding. Another young man was seriously injured in the shooting, which police suspect stems from an internal extended family dispute.
Since the start of 2026, 140 Arab Israeli citizens have been murdered, highlighting a surge in violence within these communities. The recent killings follow a car bombing in Jaffa and the shooting of a 17-year-old in Tayibe, underscoring the ongoing blood feud tensions.
Police continue to investigate all incidents, emphasizing the complex and violent nature of these family and community conflicts.
