Alona Saar Marries Yotam Rabino in Tel Aviv Ceremony Without Politicians

Israeli actress Alona Saar, 28, married musician Yotam Rabino, 26, on Friday afternoon, eight months after the couple got engaged and after four years together. The wedding was held at Beit HaSmechot in Tel Aviv.

Present at the celebration were the bride’s mother, Shelly Saar, her father, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, and his wife, journalist Geula Even, along with family members and friends. Politicians and other members of the government were not invited, and the article says none of the minister’s political colleagues attended.

The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s close friend, actor Adam Gabay. Among the guests were Saar’s podcast partner Talia Bartfeld, and several of her co-stars from the series “The Commander” including Gal Malka, Carmel Bin, and Noa Astanjelov, who is also due to marry soon, as well as Naia Binstock and Neta Rot.

Saar has previously spoken openly about her criticism of the current government and her disagreements with her father. In an interview with Walla Celebs, she said the decision not to invite politicians was simple: “It was not even a question. I don’t think they would want to come, I don’t think I want them there, and I don’t think Dad wants to be in that situation. Let’s save all of us that.”
