Israeli political commentator Amit Segal surprised followers with an unusually casual image posted to his Instagram account. The Channel 12 journalist was photographed holding his toddler son in one hand and a mobile phone in the other, and he captioned the post, “I am here because of my wife.”
The photo was taken at the exhibition “Kai HaTse’ta, Anthropology of Fashion” at the Ashdod Museum of Philistine Culture. Segal was there because his wife, Reut Kramer-Segal, serves as deputy curator of the exhibition. The article notes that the image shows him supporting his wife’s work, adding that he was indeed there for her.
This was not the first recent instance of Segal appearing in an unconventional family setting. During the latest confrontation with Iran, he unexpectedly went on a live broadcast while his young daughter was on his arm. The piece presents the new post as another rare glimpse of the normally serious commentator in a domestic moment.
