Israel’s Health Ministry warned the public not to buy any Prince tahini products with expiration dates from 13/07/2027 through 06/11/2027, after a suspicion that products meant to be destroyed were stolen and put back on sale.
The ministry said the affected items were previously recalled after salmonella was found in them during inspections by the Food Service division several months ago. The warning covers all expiration dates in the specified range.
Products named in the alert include Al Amir 450 grams, 900 grams and 17 kilograms, Taaman 450 grams, pure and whole, Rami Levy 500 grams, pure and whole, Rami Levy 1 kilogram, pure, Prince pure 450 grams and 17 kilograms, Prince whole 450 grams, 450 Kapri grams, 900 grams, and Gargar HaZahav 500 grams.
The ministry’s message is a precaution to consumers not to purchase these products while the investigation into the suspected theft continues.
