Israel’s Health Ministry warned the public not to buy or consume tahini products branded as Prince after suspicions emerged that items meant to be destroyed were stolen. The products had already been recalled because salmonella was found in them.
The warning covers all expiration dates from 13/7/2027 through 6/11/2027 and includes products sold under the brands Al Amir, Taaman, Rami Levy, Prince, Capri, and Gold Grain. The ministry said a police complaint has been filed.
Consumers were told not to eat the products. The ministry said salmonella can cause intestinal illness and, among vulnerable populations, can lead to serious disease. For more information, the public can call the ministry hotline at 5400* .
