Violent clashes erupt against Haredi protest convoy in Arad and on Ayalon Route

Severe clashes broke out in Arad between Gerrer Hasidim and secular residents and passersby, against the backdrop of protest convoys over the arrest of draft evaders and what protesters described as persecution of the Torah world.

A separate unusual incident took place on the Ayalon Route during a protest convoy that had departed from Bnei Brak. According to the passengers in one vehicle, a truck driver got out of his vehicle and approached one of the convoy cars.

The passengers said the driver was armed with a knife and sticks, struck the car, and banged hard on its windows while they remained inside and felt in immediate danger. They reported the incident in real time to police dispatch.

At this stage, no injuries have been reported, and the details are still under investigation.
