Jared Harper will stay with Hapoel Jerusalem for three more seasons, the club announced on Wednesday, keeping the league and EuroCup MVP in the Israeli capital through the end of the 2028/29 season. His new salary will be $1.7 million per season.
Harper, who joined Jerusalem in 2024, has been one of the club’s most successful signings in recent years. This season he averaged 18.2 points in 23 league games and helped Hapoel reach the semifinals of both the playoffs and the State Cup. Last season, he led the team to the playoff final and the cup final, but they have not yet won a title with him.
After signing, Harper said he was “excited and proud” to extend his deal with a club that had become “a real home and family” for him. He said he felt a special connection from day one, was happy to keep wearing Hapoel’s uniform for the club’s “amazing and unique” fans, and promised to keep giving everything to help the team achieve its goals.
Coach Sasha Obradovic said he was very happy Harper would continue, calling him a player any coach would want after winning EuroCup MVP in two straight seasons. Owner Matan Adelson said Harper is “much more than a great player,” describing him as a leader and a cornerstone on and off the court.
