Jared Harper has no exit clause and plans to stay at Hapoel Jerusalem
Israeli reports that Jared Harper had agreed to join Hapoel Tel Aviv for $2 million per season over three years are unlikely to materialize, according to Hapoel Jerusalem. The claim surfaced overnight in the Serbian outlet Mozart, but Jerusalem says Harper has a contract without an exit clause and intends to remain with the club.
"Let Hapoel Tel Aviv deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv," a Jerusalem source said in response to the report. Harper, the American guard, joined Hapoel Jerusalem in the summer of 2024 and signed a new contract in April 2025.
Since arriving in Jerusalem, Harper has become one of the most dominant players in the Israeli Premier League and in the EuroCup. He was named MVP of the EuroCup in each of the last two seasons and won the same award in the Israeli league last season.
This season, he averaged 19.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 19 EuroCup games. In the Israeli league, he averaged 18.2 points and 6.7 assists. The report also comes as Hapoel Tel Aviv has already agreed to sign another Jerusalem player, Kadin Carrington.
