This represents an increase of NIS 581, or 4.2%, compared to August of the previous year. The number of salaried positions in August stood at 4.158 million, a decrease of 2.2% from July but an increase of 0.9% compared to August 2025.

Updated figures for July show the average salary for Israeli employees was NIS 14,534, a rise of NIS 472, or 3.4% year-on-year. The high-tech sector continues to report significantly higher salaries than the national average. In July, the average salary in high-tech was NIS 34,301, a 2.3% increase over the year. The number of salaried positions in high-tech was 397,300, a 0.3% decrease from July last year, accounting for 9.3% of all salaried positions in the economy. The CBS noted that the August data are flash estimates based on partial information and may be subject to revision.
