The average salary for an employed Israeli in August reached 14,448 shekels, an increase of 581 shekels or 4.2% compared to August of the previous year. These are preliminary estimates released by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

According to the CBS, the number of employed positions in Israel in August was approximately 4.158 million. This represents a 2.2% decrease from July but a 0.9% increase compared to August of last year.

Updated figures for July show the average salary at 14,534 shekels, a rise of 472 shekels or 3.4% from July 2022. In the high-tech sector, the average salary in July was 34,301 shekels, an increase of 781 shekels or 2.3% from the previous year.

The number of high-tech positions in July was 397,300, a slight decrease of 0.2% from June and 0.3% from July 2022. High-tech jobs constituted 9.3% of all employed positions in the economy during July.
